Home / About
The Weston Performing Arts Booster Club is a parent-led, volunteer nonprofit that supports music and theatre for students in all four Weston, Connecticut public schools. We raise and direct funds to the programs that need them most — and we do it as a community.
Our mission
The Weston Performing Arts Booster Club exists for one reason: to make sure our students get the music and theatre experiences they deserve. We raise funds, we award grants, and we hand support directly to the teachers and directors who shape our kids.
We're not a district body and we're not a business. We're parents — volunteers who show up, run fundraisers, fill auditoriums and cheer loudest from the back row.
All four schools, one community
We support the full arc of a Weston performing-arts student, so support never disappears mid-journey.
First instruments, first ensembles, first stage moments — where curiosity becomes a calling.
Developing technique and confidence through band, orchestra, chorus and early theatre.
Bigger ensembles, real productions, and the discipline that carries into high school.
Advanced performance, competitions, trips and the senior year that ends under the lights.
How we're organized
A volunteer board of Weston parents guides the club. Meetings are open to every member.
We meet monthly on Zoom during the school year. Agendas are circulated in advance; everyone's welcome.
Money raised is contributed directly to Weston Public Schools' performing-arts programs to benefit students.

Public-school budgets cover the essentials of a performing-arts program — but they rarely stretch to the extras that turn a class into a passion. That's the gap the Weston Performing Arts Booster Club fills. Organized by parents and run entirely by volunteers, we raise money and direct it to the programs and students in all four Weston public schools who need it most.
In our first two years alone, we awarded more than $5,000 in grants to performing-arts programs and funded a $500 senior scholarship for a graduating student. Those dollars bought instruments, sheet music, guest clinicians and festival fees — concrete support that students feel on stage.
We stay deliberately simple and open. Members pay just $30 a year. Meetings happen on the first Monday of most months at 7:00 PM via Zoom, and they're open to every Weston family whether or not they've joined. Decisions about where funds go are made together with parents and directors, so the money always lands where it matters.
What we are: a parent-led, volunteer, nonprofit booster organization. What we're not: a school department or a business — we exist purely to strengthen the arts our students love.
